We are delighted to announce a new partnership with The British Concrete Transport Association (BCTA) to provide the association’s members access to The Driver Handbook’s digital driver communication solution.
The Driver Handbook comprises a mobile app for drivers, enabled by TDHConnect® a powerful content management system which puts operators in full control of sharing up-to-the-minute essential information and accessing live reporting on driver progress and comprehension. Core to the solution are industry-leading handbooks, toolbox talks, template declarations, a library of policies and much more. All content can be customised and supplemented with operators’ specific information and delivered direct to a driver’s device.
Launched late 2024, the BCTA is a new not for profit member body uniquely positioned to help support operators in the concrete sector. The Association brings together industry experts to address crucial issues within this specialist sector, enhancing its overall performance. It has assembled a team of familiar and highly respected industry figures, each with unique expertise. Its collective goal is to elevate industry standards through advice, guidance and integrity; and to shape the sector’s future through a collaborative effort.
Karen Davies, Operations Director, The Driver Handbook said “We have long-standing relationships with a number of the team at BCTA; so, when they approached us to see if we’d be willing to collaborate, we were quick to respond. The BCTA is offering The Driver Handbook as an integral part of its membership, meaning the Association can share sector-specific information with members, quickly and easily. We’re looking forward to seeing how The Driver Handbook will be used to help with the broader aims of the BCTA”.
Mark Cowan, BCTA Transport Advisor said: “Having The Driver Handbook as part of the BCTA membership package not only brings an extra level of compliance to members, but it’s also an essential tool to keep up-to-date on industry toolbox talks, safety alerts and news, that complement the excellent content provided by The Driver Handbook.
Through this new partnership, our members will have a real, tangible benefit. We will be able to communicate with our members quickly via The Driver Handbook. It also removes the burden on members of keeping on top of distributing information such as policies and monthly toolbox talks. We are extremely grateful to Karen and The Driver Handbook team; through this collaboration we can help support drivers and operators in the concrete supply chain”.
